Crazy Tammy
Crazy Tammy is a commonly used nickname the internet has given Onision's biological mother. It has estimated to have been used as far back as 2010. It is usually backed up by baseless internet rumors.
Although "Crazy Tammy" is a long standing name the internet has given to Onision's mother, neither Onision or his mother has ever spoken publicly about it.
Name Origin
Around 2009, Onision became a target for some in the YouTube React Community. They would respond to opinion videos of his and argue against his points. Onision's mother had a small YouTube channel at this time where she vlogged and spoke about her life. In these videos, she shared some of her New Age beliefs. For example, she had a video speaking about how she believes she might be an empath due to an experience she had with a client of her massage clinic. She believed she felt their depression. The rant/react community at the time were mainly outspoken Atheists, so when these videos were found they labeled Onision's mother as crazy. Some New Age beliefs, like the concept of being an empath, were not as well known by the public at this time, so for a lot of viewers this was the first time they heard of a concept like this and the crazy label stuck.
Onision's mother made some appearances in his comedy sketch videos. He would usually have her play the role of a crazy woman or a crazy mother. Some of these characters were direct jabs at Onision's exes. These appearances in Onision's cruel sketches did not help the view Anti-Onision viewers had of his mother and only added to the crazy label.
Baseless Rumors
Variations of these rumors have been referenced for over a decade. They have been passed around in internet discussions and YouTube videos.
Indigo Child
An Indigo Child is a New Age belief that certain children born after a specific time period hold special spiritual abilities. There has been a persistent rumor that Onision's mother believed he was an indigo child and raised him to believe he was spiritually gifted and destined to help humanity. Sometimes, people attribute this alleged upbrining to the reason Onision felt compelled to create his own religion, Sicesca.
In reality, there is no evidence Onision or his mother ever believed him to be an indigo child. The rumor's origins can be traced back to a 2011 blog post titled Delaever noisino. The poster claimed to be an ex-friend of Onision's partner at the time, Shiloh. The post claimed to reveal private, damning information about Onision. The posted stated:
"[Sicesca] is, in fact, still active. I saw, deep, deep in the internet, that the last thing posted about it was 2 days ago. [Greg]’s mother raised him as an indigo child…she told him throughout his childhood that he could be supernatural, in fact, that he could even be God. When [Greg] was in middle school, his mom told him to figure it all out. This is when [Sicesca] was born. And now, nearly 11 years later, it is still active. He made efforts to calm the public, by claiming that it was just some stupid idea he came up with when he was 17." Source
At the time, the post was believed to possibly be true as the poster seemed to have past connections to Shiloh. As time passed, it became apparent all of their claims seemed to have been fabricated and it is now considered to be a troll post.
Golden Child
A golden child is usually referring to the favorite child of a parent. It is a commonly repeated rumor that Onision was his mother's golden child. At the time this rumor began, narcissistic parents and education surrounding family dynamics with a narcissistic parent were a popular topic on the internet. In this context, a golden child is usually unfairly put above their siblings in their parent's eye and never receive consequences from this parent as they are viewed as never being able to do wrong. It is often repeated that Onision's mother was a narcissistic parent and Onision was her golden child. There is no actual evidence backing up any of these claims.
In most of Onision's childhood recollections, such as his book In Real Life, he often describes his childhood as socially isolated. For a big chunk of his childhood, he slept on a makeshift bed above appliances in a 9x5 foot utility closet while the rest of the family had shared dedicated bedrooms. (Source) The lock was taken off the door so his family members can walk in and out as they pleased to do their laundry, despite Onision asking for privacy. (Source) There has never been proof of Onision's mother giving him special treatment over his older sisters.
In 2015, an anonymous user of an image board known as HS Anon claimed to have gone to high school with Onision. They told many strange stories about things they claimed to have heard or witnessed during their time sharing a school with Onision. One of their stories claimed Onision's mother came to the school to fight the staff to defend Onision.
"He'd start arguments with teachers because he thought he actually knew more than they did, when he was obviously proven wrong he would completely deny it and act like a pouting child. There was one time, and I remember this because it was just before summer break, where his mother who looked completely cracked out actually came to school and argued with the teacher about how perfect her son was and how he never could do any wrong. He had gotten in trouble again for being caught cheating on yet another girl and her father was doing what any reasonable man would, he was threatening to beat the crap of Greg. I had to drop off some late homework so I went directly to my teachers office to do this and over heard the entire thing. It was the hilarious and embarrassing thing I'd ever been privy to eavesdrop on in my entire life. His mother literally started chanting some wiccan stuff or new age stuff, I'm not even sure what it was, he has his head down, his face is turning red as a beet, and his fists are balled up, while this girls father whole looks like a 250+ lbs Marine is berating him for trying to score with his daughter who he lied to. All the while our schools principal is just sitting there with the most confused expression because he had zero idea what to do. It was surreal, it was as if Jerry Springer had visited our school. To this very day I can't even properly explain what I had witnessed." Source
This anon was believed to be truthful at the time because they were interviewed by a YouTuber who claimed to have been shown proof that they went to high school with Onision. Years later Onision and his ex-wife, Skye, who met Onision in high school, each independently debunked HS Anon's claims. HS Anon is now widely considered to be a troll.
Naked Massage
Variations of a rumor that Onision was given a naked body massage by his mother when he was underage have been circulating the internet for over a decade. This was thought to be claimed by Onision, but it is actually a misunderstanding of two different incidents Onision has spoken about.
In 2016, Onision uploaded a video titled "I Betrayed My Wife". In this video, he described an incident where after a failed threesome and a brief breakup, he gave his husband's girlfriend a naked body massage behind his husband's back. He describes this incident as she was nude and he massaged her body with lotion. This included her chest and butt. Onision told a story about his mother, who is a licensed masseuse, to frame his massage as innocent. In his initial video defending himself, he simply said his mother once gave him a full body massage with lotion, but avoided his gentiles. (Source) This framing made viewers immediately conflate his obviously sensual massage with a potential partner with the massage he received from his mother. The initial vagueness of his description of this massage by his mother and the use of the word "genitals" also added to the fast spreading idea that this massage was inappropriate or incestuous.
Later when describing the massage he received from his mother in more detail, Onision revealed he was not nude. He wore underwear. (Source)

Physical Abuse
Onision has accused his mother multiple times of physical abuse. For example, he claims when he was a teenager, his mother once beat him with a large flashlight. (Source)
Another incident Onision has spoken about is he claimed his mother sprayed a fire extinguisher into his small bedroom to flush him out. As he ran out, she allegedly slammed him into the kitchen fridge. (Source)
Partner Spats
Some of Onision's past partners have complained about not getting along with Onision's mother. Others have publicly reported only kind interactions from her. It seems partners he had many fights and breakups with, like Shiloh and Lucas, seem to have more negative interactions with Onision's mother over others. Some internet users use this as proof that his mother gets overly involved in his relationships. It is hard to track these claims as many of them were made by third parties or viewers reporting things Lucas has said during non-archived livestreams.
In a 2020 video, Onision has accused his mother of being transphobic toward his husband, Lucas. He claimed his mother invalidated Lucas' transition by saying he came out in his 20's and breastfeeds. Onision also accused his mother of calling Lucas a tranny. Onision explained in the video Lucas was planning on getting top surgery after their children were done breastfeeding. (Source)
