One Mand Band, 2004

One Mand Band was a website Greg created in 2004 to host music. He replaced the site in 2006 with his Onision Music site.

“Recently I’ve realized that my tunes are so geesh darn cool that I made my own music site… and none of that thar other band stuff. I’m the real freaking deal. And I have tunes to _____ me up, they’re off the hook. - The Power”

About

Greg created the website One Mand Band in 2004 and used it to compile his library of original music he began creating as a teen. It seems the original version of the site had a heavy satirical element to it. Greg referred to himself as "The Power" and used corny imagery of himself throughout the site. Much of the text on the site seemed comedic as well. “NOTE: ALL MUSIC ON THIS SITE WAS CREATED BY “THE OWNER” WHO IS ALSO THE CREATOR OF THIS WEB SITE AND THE TYPER OF THIS VERY TEXT - NO IT’S NOT PATHETIC BECAUSE I AM THE POWER - NOW ENJOY THE SITE”

Greg encouraged viewers to download music to burn onto CDs for free. Greg offered many ways for viewers to promote and donate to the site. One of these ways was selling merch on Cafe Press. (Source)

In late 2004, Greg redesigned the website. The site took on a huge tonal shift. (Source) Greg began to seem more serious and confident in his musical abilities and began charging site goers to download his music. He stopped referring to himself as "The Power" and introduced himself as Gregory J. Daniel. No longer was the site filled with silly photos and jokes. It was now filled with serious imagery created by Greg and writings about his improving skills and praise for his own music. He now sold CDs through his Cafe Press shop. (Source)

Greg added one new album to the site in 2005. In his 2005 blog, he noted the site received high traffic. (Source) By the end of 2005, he used the One Mand Band site as a link to his Onision Website. (Source)

In early 2006, he brought back the One Mand Band website with another redesign. A large portion of the site was now dedicated to promoting his other websites. By mid 2006, Greg rebranded his music as Onision Music and had the One Mand Band url direct to the music section of his Onision website.
