"Borderline Personality Disorder"

Borderline Personality Disorder is a Cluster B Personality Disorder marked by unstable moods, behavior, and relationships. Greg identified with it for a short time in 2011.

History

By September 2011, viewers witnessed Greg go through three public break ups since December 2010. Whenever he would have a break up, he would seem to be plagued with mood swings followed by impulsively rushing into a new relationship. He would move very fast with his relationships, already proposing marriage twice that year. A theory began to emerge that Greg possibly suffered from a personality disorder. Although there was talk of other disorders, at the time the idea that Greg may be suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder became popular amongst drama followers because of his chaotic dating life.

During his three week relationship with Adrienne, Greg would upload many emotional videos to his Speaks channel. They ranged from overly joyful, talking about how he finally found the one, to crying about their break up and how messed up he was, back to happy they were together again. After their final break-up, Greg began to lash out at Adrienne on his social media, similarly to what he did up to that point with Skye and Shiloh.

The next day, an Onision Forum member created a topic telling Greg they believe he has Borderline Personality Disorder. They listed symptoms and compared them to Greg.

On September 21, 2011, Greg uploaded "Borderline Personality Disorder" to his Speaks channel. In the video, he thanks the forum member for telling him about the disorder and that he now figured out he has this. He compares the symptoms to his life and concludes he finally found out what is wrong with him. He says he does not need to get help because he does not have full blown borderline and can fix it himself. He says he read that it's cured with group therapy, so he came to the conclusion his viewers could be his group therapy. ($ource)

That same day, Greg left Adrienne many voicemails, which has since been released to the public. In them, he tells Adrienne he was recently informed that he has Borderline Personality Disorder. He tells her that his emotions and relationships are out of control, compared to her who is in control. He says he if gets himself under control they would make a good pair. He says he feels complete and happy around her and that the only other person he has is Skye, who is his friend. (Source)

Many listeners of the voicemails believed Greg had self diagnosed Borderline Personality Disorder in an attempt to guilt Adrienne back into dating him again.

Today

Greg addressed his self diagnosed BPD in a 2016 video, "Yes, once upon a time I did in fact diagnose myself with Borderline Personality Disorder cuz sometimes I could be an ignorant little shit who likes to run his mouth more than he likes to think." In the video, he took the MBTI personality test to see if he had a personality disorder, despite the test not having anything to do with personality disorders.

In the end of the video, he concluded, "Anyway, no. I probably don't have Borderline Personality Disorder cuz it's a serious mental illness." He concludes that because he attended some marriage counselling with his wife recently and the therapist did not bring up that he might have a personality disorder, he does not have one. ($ource)
